Our Story

We met in 2011, on a rainy Seattle night, at the Sounders home opening match versus the Los Angeles Galaxy.  From the moment Aly yelled, "Bend it like Beckham, b*tch!", Brian was hooked.  

Ever since then, we have enjoyed an amazing  five years together, filled with more fun times and memories than two people should be allowed to enjoy.  We have grown together and built a life together with our two beautiful pups, one that has recently taken us from Seattle to Southern California. 

Throughout our journey, we have been so blessed to create and share these moments with our friends and families, and we can't wait to share our wedding day with you!

The Proposal

On a windy, sunny Saturday in December, Brian planned a surprise picnic for Aly and the pups on the beaches of Santa Monica.  After enjoying some delicious cheese, pate, and a sandy beer, Brian took her by the hand, looked into her eyes, and started telling her about all of the fun moments we had falling in love with each other.  After a few minutes of reminiscing, Brian uttered what had become one of Aly's least favorite lines... "I have a proposal for you."

Accept this time, it wasn't a suggestion for dinner or weekend plans, it was the real deal.  Brian stood her up, got down on one knee, and asked her to make him the happiest man on the planet by spending the rest of her life with him.  And she said, "REALLY... REALLY... REALLY...?!?"  But then she said yes, and we officially became fiances!  

Lloyd & Madden

Lloyd, the beagle, aka "the hippo", joined Aly's life in 2009.  Named after Ari's assistant in the show/film "Entourage", he loves his food, naps, and cuddling up on the couch with Aly.   

Madden, the shiba inu, aka "the fox," came home with Brian in 2011, on one of Brian and Aly's first dates.  Named after one of Brian's favorite football commentators, John Madden, he loves playing ball, tug-of-war, and soaking up the sun. 

These pups have provided some of the happiest moments of our lives, and we can't wait for them to be a part of our wedding!

Copain is located near Windsor, California, and specializes in small batch Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah.  With breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards, we fell in love with the site the moment we stepped onto the grounds.

Given the winery's smaller size and proximity, there is no parking available on site.  We are providing shuttle service to and from the wedding site for all of our guests. 

Shuttle Service for all Guests

Pick up @ 4:15pm / 5pm

We will be picking-up and dropping-off our guests from the WorldMark Windsor.  There is parking available at the WorldMark or there is Uber ( or taxi's) available in the area that can take you to/from the WorldMark and your final destination.

Return Shuttle Times
During and after the wedding, we will have return shuttles leaving Copain Winery at the following approximate times: 

8:30PM / 9:15pm / 10pm
