Directions

Copain Winery is a short drive from Windsor, California, where we have reserved a small block of hotel rooms and provided other housing options for our guests.  We understand that most of our guests will be flying and driving into wine country, so we have provided more details on the travel and housing options below.

For those who will be flying in, there are three airports that are an easy drive to Windsor.  We always enjoy the flexibility these airports provide, and will allow our guests a wide variety of flight, travel, and pricing options, depending on your preferences for the weekend.

We have reserved a small block of rooms for wedding guests at the Hampton Inn & Suites Windsor.  Please click on the link below that will direct you to our Tucker-Stock wedding site through the Hampton Inn.  Then click on "Book a Room" to receive the discounted rates.  Please note only the first 10 rooms booked will receive the discount.

There are also many rooms available at the WorldMark Windsor.  Even though this is a timeshare resort, owners are selling their rooms through Airbnb, so gives you another great option for a multiple room situation with a full kitchen and all of the resort amenities.

In addition to the other hotel options in the area through Hotels.com, we are also encouraging our guests to research rental housing options through VRBO, Home Away, or Airbnb.  Teaming up with other guests and renting a house together is a great way to stay in Sonoma County and even save a little money.

As you make your travel arrangements, please keep in mind the wedding site does not have parking available for our guests.  We are providing shuttle service to and from the wedding from two locations: (1) The Hampton Inn and Suites Windsor and (2)  The WorldMark Windsor.  So we do encourage you to stay at or near the Hampton Inn.

Sonoma County and Napa Valley are truly some of the treasures of Northern California.  Between the infamous wine, amazing dining experiences, and beautiful scenery, it is truly a destination we know you will love just as much as we do.  We encourage you to take advantage of this weekend and explore everything that wine country has to offer.  Here is a small sampling of the things you can do in the area.

EaT

While known for their wine, Sonoma County is just as serious about their food.  Whether you're in the mood for a Michelin or Zagat rated restaurant, French cafe, brewery and eatery, or a riverside pub, you will definitely not go home hungry.  Wine country chefs focus their efforts around sourcing the best locally grown, organic produce, vegetables, cheeses, meats and fish, for a true farm-to-table experience.

DRINK

Yes, please!  Sonoma County has more than 400 award-winning wineries and a handful of breweries to enjoy.  Through wine tastings, vineyard tours, and barrel room tastings, you can sip and enjoy the amazing wine the area has to offer.  Whether you prefer whites, reds, bubbles, or all of the above, we encourage you to research and find a few wineries to enjoy while you're in town.  Here are a few of our favorites:

  • Domaine Carneros (sparkling and pinot noir)
  • Sojourn Cellars (pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon)
  • Ledson Winery (small lot wines from broad range of varietals)
  • Russian River Brewing Company  (great food and even better beer)

Explore

For those looking to explore the area beyond wine tasting, here are a few ideas.  Sonoma County is a top golf destination in California, but also offers hiking, horse back riding, cycling, and historical sight-seeing tours.  But if you truly want to experience Sonoma, we highly recommend a hot air balloon ride.  In addition, San Francisco is only a 45 minute drive away, which adds endless travel experiences to make your weekend getaway your own.
